CPO-Led Care · 28+ Years Experience

A prosthesis is personal.
So is the care behind it.

For more than two decades, Ardy has been crafting personalized prosthetic limbs for above-knee and below-knee amputees in South Florida. Our work is guided by a Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist (CPO) and a team that walks alongside every patient — through casting, fitting, alignment, and the years of adjustments that follow.

— 01 / Our Approach

More than a device — a partnership.

A prosthesis is one of the most personal devices a person will ever use. It moves the way you move. It fits the way your body fits. It changes as you change. The relationship between a prosthetist and a patient is not transactional — it is ongoing, often spanning years of adjustments, refinements, and renewals.

At Ardy, every prosthetic patient is under the direct care of a Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist (CPO), supported by trained prosthetic assistants. We have been doing this work in Miami since 1997, and many of the patients we fitted in our early years are still in our care today — a continuity that allows us to anticipate needs before they become problems.

A note for new amputees

The journey takes time — and that's normal

From initial healing to a fully functional definitive prosthesis typically takes several months. The residual limb changes shape as it heals and as muscles adapt, which is why the first prosthesis is usually a temporary one. We will explain every stage clearly, set realistic expectations, and never rush a fitting.

— 02 / What We Provide

Prosthetic care for lower-limb amputees.

Our practice focuses on lower-limb prosthetics — both above-the-knee and below-the-knee — with components matched to each patient's activity level, anatomy, and goals.

Below-Knee (BK) Prosthetics

Transtibial prostheses with sockets custom-built to the unique shape of your residual limb, paired with feet selected for your activity level — from low-impact walking to active community ambulation.

Custom Sockets K1 – K4 Activity

Above-Knee (AK) Prosthetics

Transfemoral prostheses with prosthetic knee systems matched to your strength, balance, and lifestyle — from stable manual-locking knees to dynamic microprocessor-controlled options.

— 03 / The Journey

From evaluation to walking again.

Every prosthetic journey is different, but the path generally moves through these stages — with our team beside you at each one.

01

Evaluation

A CPO assesses your residual limb, overall health, mobility goals, and activity level — and works with your physician to design a treatment plan.

02

Casting & Design

We take precise measurements and impressions of your limb. The socket — the most critical component — is built to fit your unique anatomy.

03

Fitting & Alignment

You're fitted with the prosthesis and we make initial alignment adjustments. Multiple sessions are common as we refine the fit and your gait.

04

Lifetime Follow-Up

Your residual limb will continue to change, and your prosthesis will need to change with it. We see most patients regularly for years — and we're glad to.
